How to care for your items to give them the longest useable life

Leggings and Flares

Tips to extend the life of your Get Spangled leggings or flares:

•  A cold hand wash is preferable, but if you only use a washing machine, please make sure it is below 30 degrees and set to a delicate wash.
• Wash bright colours with other bright colours to keep them fresh.
• Turn your leggings inside out and try and wash with other synthetic fabrics and avoid anything abrasive like jeans, or garments with zips and especially Velcro.
• Please do not tumble dry, we advise you hang to dry.
• No bleaching (obvs!).
• No excessive sun exposure.
• Do not iron.

Please remember that the less frequently you wash your garments the longer they will last. Give them a sniff and if they whiff then it’s time to wash them.

We also strongly recommend not washing them in fabric softener this seems to be the kryptonite for leggings.

Even if you follow all these washing instructions we can’t completely guarantee you won’t get any pilling at all. Pilling happens In areas where the most friction occurs, so if you’re exercising in these leggings every day you might find it on the inside of the legs. Pilling isn’t permanent you can buy gadgets to remove it.

Fluffy hats

• We recommend hand washing our fluffy bucket hats in a cool/cold solution as this reduces the risk of damage.
• Allow to drip dry, it may take 24 to 48hrs.
• Do not iron.
• Keep out of direct sunlight and heat as the heat will melt the synthetic fibres.
• You can give the hat a brush with a wide tooth comb if the fur looks a bit matted.

Captain hats

• ONLY clean gently with a damp cloth if there is visible dirt.

T-shirt

Tips to extend the life of your t-shirt:

• A cold hand wash is preferably but if you only use a washing machine, please make sure it is below 30 degrees and a delicate wash.
• Turn your t-shirts inside out to protect the logo from damaging.
• No tumble drying we advise you hang to dry.
• No bleaching.
• No over sun exposer as this could fade the colour of your t-shirt.
• Do not iron the logo as this will make it lift.
